Spring Field Trips

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

• SELF-GUIDED TOUR with 25+ fun farm activities for you and your students
• Each student will pick their own pint of strawberries to take home

DATES & TIME:

• Wednesday – Friday Mornings
• 9:30am – 1:30pm
• Dates: April 10th – May 10th

COST:

• Students: $12.00 (+ tax, unless school is tax exempt)
• Teachers: 1 Teacher free per 10 children ($12.00 per additional teacher)
• Adults / Parents / Chaperones*: $12.00 (+ tax)
• Siblings*: $12.00 (+ tax)

*Parents, chaperones, siblings, etc. will purchase their admission tickets at the farm upon arrival.

PAYMENT:

You may bring cash, a check, or a credit card on field trip day OR we can invoice your school after the field trip is over. We will no longer be sending invoices prior to your visit.

Payments for students must be made in one transaction. Money should be collected before arriving at the farm.

Please DO NOT collect money for parents! Parents, siblings, and other guests will pay at the admission building upon arrival.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TEACHERS:

What to Bring:

• Sharpie markers to write each child’s name on their pint of strawberries. You may also bring pre-printed labels if you prefer.
• Box or crate to take your group’s strawberries home in
• Water bottles or other drinks (there are no available water fountains on the farm)
• Lunch or Snack
• Hand sanitizer / Wipes
• Collapsible wagon to hold water bottles, jackets, etc.
• First aid kit, Benadryl and/or anti-itch cream, sunscreen, etc.

Things to Remember:

• Dress appropriately for a day on the farm – tennis shoes, jackets, and long pants if needed, etc.
• We recommend traveling as one or two classes during your self-guided field trip (the only required activity for your school to do together will be picking in the strawberry patch at your assigned time slot).
• We have full-service restrooms with a changing table available.
• It’s a great idea to have each class wear a different color shirt. This helps us visually locate a class if someone arrives late.
• Name tags with the child’s school and a teacher’s phone number. If the child get’s separated from the group, we can easily contact the teacher and reunite them with the class.

INFORMATION FOR PARENTS / OTHER GUESTS:

PRICE: $12.00 (+ tax) for anyone (ages 2 & up) joining with a field trip. This includes all parents, siblings, grandparents, or other guests.

HOW & WHERE TO BUY A TICKET: If you are a parent, grandparent, or visitor coming with a child on a field trip, you will pay AT THE FARM at our admission building when you arrive.

WHAT’S INCLUDED: 

Access to our weekday fun farm activities! A full list of the weekday activities that are included is listed below!

Your admission ticket does NOT include strawberries. You can buy pick-your-own strawberries separately at the farm. We also ask that you do NOT pick your own berries while you are helping supervise students picking their berries in the field. We ask that you pick your berries when the students have finished picking their pint of berries.

If you would like to order pre-picked berries, you will need to call the farm at 706-769-0627 to see if we have berries available to reserve separately from the field trip.

• Pick-Your-Own STRAWBERRIES! Each student will be able to go into the field and pick a pint of fresh strawberries to take home. We provide the pint strawberry containers for each field trip student!
• Online access to our Strawberry Growing Educational Video!  Your students will be able to watch an educational lesson which teaches them how we grow strawberries! Educational video includes pictures, videos, and teaches your children about photosynthesis, pollination, & lots more!

Activities NOT INCLUDED in our spring Strawberry Field Trips:

• MegaSlide, Paintball, Zip Lines, Gem Mining, and the Bubble Station are CLOSED on field trip mornings.

Inclement Weather

If rain is predicted, you have a couple of options.

We recommend waiting until the morning of the field trip to make a decision about whether or not to come. So often, the forecast changes and the rain may hold off until after the field trip. If it still looks like it may rain that morning, you can call us (as early as 6:00am) to cancel or reschedule. If we feel that it would be best not to do the field trip due to weather conditions, we will contact you as soon as possible.

We understand that sometimes waiting until the last minute is not an option. You may cancel or reschedule if you feel that it’s necessary based on the weather forecast. If this is the case, please call us to let us know of your decision so we can try to find a day and time to reschedule.
